I played cello in youth competitions at such DC venues as Wolf Trap Performing Arts Center. With the shooting of John Lennon in 1980, I became a major Beatles junkie and began tinkering with composition of "Beatlesque" tunes.

After the Center For Popular Music opened here in 1987 I had a real job while performing at night with A Band Called Bob -- a fraternity band which was a local favorite. Studio upgrades that occurred in my home from '90-'96 made it possible to improve my recording skills and create compositions which I feel have stood the test of time.

In 1999, while forming Chrome DeMenthe, I was appointed to the Frist Center for the Visual Arts in Nashville as Audiovisual Coordinator. I became further involved in concerts and was immersed in constructing a truly great room that became their auditorium. At that time I "went digital" in my home studio. In 2004 I began work with a songwriter whose credits go back four decades. Proud to play bass with BroadBand (photo).
