Review of I Must Be Dreamin' CD

Review of I Must Be Dreamin' CD:

Appropriately called a "JazzClectic Album", Bruce Garnitz's latest solo effort " I Must Be Dreamin' " sees him once again doing what he does best - taking life's simple, painful, and quirky ordeals and presenting them with his unique jazz-friendly blues-rock grooves.

On the album's introspective moments, like "Get Me Out Of Here - Pull Me Through", not only do we feel the songwriter's pain, but we find ourselves tapping along to his bluesy interpretation of it as well.

Lighter album moments, like the buoyant "Elevator Shoes Blues" remind of a simpler time, (and kudos to Garnitz for including it on the set), but are certainly not dated. As Bruce says: "This waltz ain't working out for us, I know it ain't the booze, I feel like I'm surrounded here, but I kinda like the view..."

The sexy, sassy "Come To Bed", sees Garnitz teaming up with Kacee Clanton on a sizzling track that will certainly have music lovers turning up the volume, and turning down the sheets...

Bruce Garnitz's " I Must Be Dreamin' " album is a great mood-setter by an obviously talented singer/songwriter. It brings to mind carefree nights with cool breezes and hot tunes, and it was no doubt inspired by Bruce's current hometown of Venice, California, where so many of these great musical moments were born. This harmonically-bold, musically-solid, deliciously eclectic set contains something for everyone, and it will undoubtedly be enjoyed alongside many good bottles of wine in its future.
