I'm an electronic music songwriter and producer, and percussion player, influenced by breakbeat, house, cinematic music, trance, dubstep, and other parent genres, including funk, latin, jazz, rap, metal, and some down-home Texas-style stuff. www.BradOrmandMusic.com . I like thick choruses and impact in the main parts, with accompanying parts building up, as intelligently as possible. I want to feel the big drop. I want to inspire with deeep chord stacks. And, I like traditional song structure. I try to push speakers to the limits - tweets and mids and subs... Furthermore, I'm primarily a Drummer. I play guitar and several different instruments, though, as you can hear in my recordings, and am an experienced audio engineer as well. I'm a writer and producer at heart, though, and a technologist only to the extent to help me produce art.

Bio
All the way from the depths of Central Texas comes Brad Ormand who "rolls his own" when it comes to makin' music. Livin' in a town where everybody's neighbor plays some type of instrument or another, Brad took a little something from Austin, Texas, and learned how to produce songs about his life and his conflicts in an unusual way.
Starting with learning drums, he locked the foundation with good time and concentrated on rhythm as a base for several years. Then, as he progressed, playing drums for Liquid Limit out at the club scene, he learned what would make the people go, "clap"... So, off he went to writing on a solo level. Because Brad is NOT a DJ, and was opposed to using samples, he decided to do whatever was neccesary to start learning all the instruments he would possibly need to learn to faithfully perform any and all parts of the music he had written. Guitar, Keys, Bass, Synths, and Singing were practiced constantly inside his own regimen until his skills had reached a suitable level. The instrumentation became so important to him as he constructed the parts to form adequate recordings.
Now that his music was up and rolling, there was still ONE MORE THING thing that was left to be learned that could empower him to go even further with it - the proper recording process! Brad set out to the east coast to pick up his accredited degree in "Recording Arts" after spending LOADS of time in courses recording and mixing on legendary gear with industry vets! Also, after focusing in, he got certified as a "Pro Tools Operator" by Digidesign. After that, and a return to Austin, he's been able to create the songs and sounds, all alone, that he's always wanted to create!
Now, armed with knowledge, Brad writes Electronic, Urban, and Rock music out of his studio, called Tranzporter Sound. There he's forming a catalog of songs that are his best works to date, some of which have been placed in films, relesed on albums, and played in DJ sets. Today, he still strives to create compelling music no matter what genre it may be catagoized in. Taking it step-by step, Brad hopes to see continued success as an innovative writer and producer in the future!
