Well, it’s time to get your songwriting chops lubed and prepare for the 5th Annual 6-Pack Songwriting Competition.
As I mentioned, this is the fifth year of the 6-Pack. Liz Miller won the first two and Margaret McClure won the past two. I’m sure many of the veterans will be returning as I have been receiving steady inquiries about the starting date, challenges, etc. The first four categories are the annual primer (any song you have), a love song, an instrumental and a spiritual song. The last two will be announced later and I’m sure you’re going to love them!

I can’t wait to see what the veteran 6-Packers come up with and personally invite the newcomers to bring their “A” game. There’s not a songwriting competition out their quite like the Broadjam 6-Pack and you will be stretched way beyond your current capacity.
You will see lots of new technical changes coming to the 6-Pack as well. Many of these were a result of direct feedback and we threw in a few of our own. As always, I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions regarding the 6-Pack or anything else we do for that matter. You can use this blog or send me a note directly. For some reason, I suspect you will have much to talk about.
As always, our sponsors have provided the contest with great prizes – take a look. They Include Sony, IK Multimedia, Line 6, Casio, Yamaha, ASCAP, and more!
So Get Lubed (Anything), Brew Some Luv (Love Songs), Shut Yer Yap (Instrumental) and get on that Rarified High (Spiritual) as we’re getting started.
The 2009 6-Pack is rockin’ and we’re off and running. Best of luck to everyone.
Sincerely,
Roy Elkins, Broadjam Founder and CEO

Epilogue – the Grand Finale and News
“One last bit of news to share with you. . .
Jenny is with child.”
Joshua lifted his sleeping princess up into his strong body until her lips were fully pressed against his, until the warmth of her skin penetrated his heart.
“Yes, we did something that I never ever imagined. We created our own kind of music and from all of your hearts we found it to be life. THANK YOU. This would never have happened without love, curiosity and your faithful encouragement.”
“From my heart, from my Jenny’s heart, may we say you are a quarrelsome bunch and all the more beautiful for it.”
“This is our goodbye, our humble request and now a most personal invitation to you from us.”
“It’s your turn to tell your story. Please, share your story. And, know. . . no matter where we are or what we do, we thank you for letting us live beyond this place.”
“May you always do the same. . .”
With Greatest Love and Affection
Your adoring Joshua and Jenny
The End.

Epilogue – Part One
RECAP: Arriving at the epicenter of our known digital existence which begat before all previous episodes regarding the brave blogo-duo, Joshua & Jenny, who (BTW: and may you never forget) singularly escaped this world we call the 7th Can.
I now invite you to once again become familiar with their names, their lives, their heart’s desire, and most importantly – their souls. This is an excerpt from an email I just received this very evening. They sent it for you. . .
“Jenny’s sleeping and I finally got the powerbook fixed, so I thought we, Jenny and me, owed you all a hello ¬– and, a goodbye.”
Joshua took his left hand and gently brushed Jenny’s silken honey hair away from her face. He wanted; no, he needed to soak up every bit of her innocent courage before he continued this conversation with the clan.
“We’re in Canada, now. Wonderful people these canucks. FYI: our sponsor couple really aren’t socialists. Just two sweet people who the world hasn’t robbed of their idealism and infernal hope.”
Again, Joshua took his freehand and lifted the soft down of Jenny’s hair so close to his face that her scent rushed through his body and possessed his very breath and made him smile.
“Jenny and I will never return. And, we can thank you, all of you for that fact. You see, there is a part of every personality that has graced this 7th heaven and all of you now live in us. We are you, all of you. And, we have some news. . .”
“First, the Parliament of the Provincial Government of Canada has officially granted Jenny and I asylum. We never have to return to the blog as digital creations, ever again. She and I are now free from your imaginations. Not a judgment, but truly a freedom.”
Tears were now streaming from Joshua’s eyes as he looked at Jenny, then surveyed the horizon that lay before them and with a comforting sigh, smiled again, a smile that became laughter, borne from a true inner joy.

Oct 29, 2009/4:13 pmPro
I licensed 11 songs (pain meds? do you have extra?
)but nothing’s been placed yet. At least the music is in their (MTV) production library now. I hope it turns into something monetary!

“Madness does not always howl. Sometimes it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “Hey, is there room in your head for one more?”"
Oct 29, 2009/2:59 pmPeter:
DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY!
I NEED A SHOWER AFTER THAT!!!!
Troy:

Oct 29, 2009/2:56 pmyou might also consider wearing women’s pants and blouses so that the zipper and buttons are facing in the right direction for your left hand.
just a thought. . .
Oct 29, 2009/2:16 pmok… u dont know awkward until you try to brush your teeth with your left hand. Thats just a weird experience any way u look at it.
And dont get me started on bathing with a cast…
(shakes head)
“damn u gragnat.”
Thanks for your words all. I feel so pampered:)
good call with the rollerball Peter… I may try that.
Anyhow… I gotta go wrap my arm in a trash bag now. (sighs deeply.)
Oct 29, 2009/10:38 amMorning Penny and so good to see you back at the blog. We are all wishing PT a speedy recovery. It is devestating for anyone let alone a musician to injure one’s hands. I hope he heals fast. Speak to you soon and say hello to Char!
Oct 29, 2009/9:21 amPro, sorry to hear about your hand. You should have kept Gragnat chained up…I’m sure your creative brain will come up with a solution to your current interference. Peter might be onto something with the rollerball mouse.
Oct 29, 2009/8:22 amHi Felice and thanks, I missed you too and all these wonderful bloggers.Good to see your faces on here!I’m having my morning coffee and hoping that the day brings some relief to PT and that we will hear from him today.Off to town in a while but I’ll be back.Have a good morning…
Oct 29, 2009/7:57 ambrother from another planet: you need to put gragnat away for a while. don’t worry he will understand. he needs the break anyway.
in a few days the throbbing will subside and you will be thinking clearer without the meds. so take a deep breath and use this time to put your house in order.
if you replace the mouse with a rollerball, and put some felt on the palm of your cast, I bet you can get used to working the mixes again. just a thought.
and, don’t worry about the remastering, first priority is getting comfortable with your new situation and altering that alter-ego.
like everyone here in the seventh can has said, heal quickly. maybe we’ll even have a cast signing party.
Oct 29, 2009/7:40 amSorry to hear about your mishap, Pro. Hope you hand heals well and quickly.
