Hi Jesse, you say “you can get a good idea of what other people have interpreted when they read the description” which of course is true. But I’ve always thought it would be much more useful to hear how other people have interpreted a description before I pay my submission fee. I would rather know before spending money that my interpretation is way off. Or, I could choose to submit something entirely different based on what I’m hearing and thus have a better chance at success.
I’m sure implementing that would bring up it’s own set of challenges so another thought is to really push opportunity providers to point us to recorded examples. For example today’s “daily deal” reads “A music production company needs a variety of acoustic Pop, Rock and Folk instrumental tracks”. Now I have a variety of acoustic pop and folk, but decided not to submit because I just have no idea of what the most appropriate piece(s) to send would be. If I had recorded examples to listen to or could hear what others have submitted I could make a choice and broadjam would collect my submission fee.
Maybe something to think about?
Michael
“They can’t all be good” that sounded kind of funny! Good to see ya Jesse!
