Studio time is expensive and all too often musicians end up making creative decisions based on that expense. The end product usually suffers. The home studio offers you the freedom to experiment with innovative ideas and work at the pace that is right for you.
The Complete Home Music Recording Starter Kit is a complete starter book/kit that includes a DVD with software from Sony and other major music manufacturers. It also includes training videos, royalty-free audio loop files, downloadable sound files and much more!

Throughout the book, tried and true steps are presented for creating the best environment for home music production. Creative techniques are covered throughout, and a copy of ACID Pro 7 is included on the DVD at the back of the book.

This sounds like a great package. It has all the ingredients to ‘cook up’ a first class studio environment.
It’s a tough business creating top quality songs & music, that artists, record companies etc, really want.
Songwriters and musicians need all the help they can get.
So when you get it up and running, spare a thought for the ‘wordsmiths’ or should I say lyricists like me, who have an even harder job, finding the right songwriter/composers to work with.
The very lyrics you want, to go with the wonderful music you’re going to create with this package, may well be found at:- http://www.the-right-page.blogspot.com
Oct 16, 2009/3:42 amDon’t say I didn’t warn you!
I am someone that spent thousands of dollars on equipment to record at home and ended up with demos that sounded about as good as my old demos done with a 4-track cassette recorder!
I ended up selling everything.
Wish I had something like this way back then.
May buy the book and start from scratch again.
Sep 30, 2009/2:23 pmroyalty-free audio loops are a definite bonus for those who thrive on samples. I’ve heard great things about ACID, so i’m sure the book would be a benefit for newcomers to the software.
Sep 30, 2009/11:21 amThe guy who wrote this book is a good friend of mine and knows his stuff. I have read it and highly recommend this to anyone who is working in a home studio environment. It’s an easy read with lots of good stuff in it. Very practical info on setting up and perfecting a home studio environment. If you’re using ACID Pro, lots of detailed info on the getting the most out of the app. Also good information on many other DAWs as well.

Sep 25, 2009/6:37 pmRoy and Crew. Thanks for always pushing the envelope for us musical interlopers. My comment, make the new 2nd tier bar more prominent w/o diminishing the prominence of the top bar.
IE: buttons instead of uninteresting words.
Just a thought.

Sep 25, 2009/2:48 pmI would be very interested to see more about this. As finances can often hold an artist back from getting the best out of their music. I’m a great beleiver in a “Good song will stand out on it’s own” but a little extra input can only help.
