We got a chance to play with a StealthPedal at the Broadjam offices, and it’s a really cool hybrid of software technology and old-school music hardware technology. The StealthPedal is both an Audio Interface and software Controller in a compact, wah-style pedal. It’s built tough enough to use live on a regular basis, but it can also play an integral part in recording by controlling the included “Powered by Amplitube” software or any other amp and FX modeling software with MIDI control capabilities.
The StealthPedal also comes with a great assortment of software including AmpliTube 2 Live guitar and bass amp and fx modeling software, standalone and plug-in, Ampeg SVX UNO, standalone and plug-in bass amp and fx modeling software, AmpliTube X-GEAR, Sonoma Riffworks T4 for immediate recording/composing/online sharing with your Mac or PC and AmpliGrooves Loops from Sonic Reality. Plus it’ll all work on either a PC or Mac.

The winner of this giveaway blog will win all of this, plus a great extra: AmpliTube Fender Studio software. It’s an LE version of the official guitar/bass Amp and FX software AmplitTube suite, bundled with the StealthPlug guitar-to-USB audio interface cable. It also includes the AmpltiTube X-GEAR expandable guitar/bass amp and FX modeling system, Riffworks T4 recording software, and AmpliTube Fender LE Amp and FX modeling software which includes 15 pieces of gear sampled from the most sought-after classic and modern Fender amps, cabinets, stompboxes and rack effects.

Oct 5, 2009/7:45 amI’m anxious to try this out and see what it can do!
Oct 2, 2009/8:00 amThis pedal rocks! I would use it to record my music with my computer. Once I learn all the features I would use it when I do live performances. One pedal with all of this power has to be part of my assortment of instruments. I would tell my musician friends about it and spread the word about how great a product it is. STEALTH PEDAL ROCKS!!

Great! Looks like it will give you that extra hand at the PC. IK rules OK!
Oct 1, 2009/6:30 amHot Damn!!
Oct 1, 2009/12:07 amI want one!! Being a solo guitar picker/singer, any extra piece of ingenious hardware/software technology interface is always worth a look, especially if you don’t need the brain of Einstein to get the thing to work well for you. This little baby would appear to allow you to access all the gadgets that are already within your rig & still keep your hands free for picking, which let’s face it, is how it should be. It’s got my interest piqued, check it out, it’ll get you too.

This is an interesting pedal. And the IK Multimedia softwares are really really good… and that still doesn’t say how good they are. I’ve tried the free version of Sample Tank (created a whole song with it too!) and I have Amplitube LE; love the distortion sounds you can dial in.
Sep 30, 2009/7:05 pmI’ve always been curious of their other stuff… And as a bass player the Ampeg SVX sounds… delightful!! Can’t wait to check it ouy. Oh and I do need a new wah anyway; mine goes ouin ouin right now; not cool!
I am a bit unsure exactly what this does. Is it for live performances, DAW recording, or both? It does look pretty cool.
Sep 30, 2009/5:05 pmHoly crap!
Guitar + StealthPedal + laptop = ninja commando live rig (poor, unemployed roadies), fewer late-night visits by the police/neighbors with pitchforks, and consistent tracking capabilities anywhere, anytime.
Or to make Tolkien spin in his grave: “One interface to rule them all, and in the darkness bind them”, heh.
Sep 30, 2009/2:22 pmI am still confused on what all this item does.
Guess I have to go look it up!
Sep 30, 2009/2:18 pmNot something I would personally use (analog user myself) but seems great for software/MIDI controller junkies.
Sep 30, 2009/11:18 amcool!
Sep 30, 2009/9:44 amThis could keep me up a night. Who needs sleep, right?
Sep 30, 2009/7:48 amI have used IK Multimedia Ampitube for 3 years now and t is AWESOME. I would love to have this to control my Amplitube 2 plug. I could really use the non-delayed output while recording. I have found these plugs to be the best, most realistic sounding amp emulations around. And I have tried them all. You will find them on almost everything I record!. Send me the Stealth. I will put it to immediate use.
Sep 29, 2009/6:29 pmHey. How would this change Celtic music. Wah-Wahing On the Road to Lisdoonvarna? Delay sailing on Ships are Sailing. How about a screaming tearing jerking Poor Wayfarin’ Stranger? Taking Traditional Celtic/Folk to a new level.
