Hello Broadjam,
The leaderboard for the 2007 6-Pack launched a couple weeks ago and since then we have seen a lot of different names up there—some veterans of the 6-Pack and some new faces as well. Earlier last week, we launched the rankings for our second challenge, Location, Location, Location. Once again, the leaders have changed and the race is starting to heat up. Remember, the leaderboard is updated several times daily and your reviews are extremely important in determining the outcome. Also, you can win each individual challenge that you enter, but it is the Broadjam member with the most points in all challenges that will take home the overall grand prize.
So, how has the 6-Pack been going for you so far? Is there any artist you have heard (besides yourself) that you really like? Which one of the prizes do you have your eye on? Let us know what you think of the 6-Pack so far and feel free to participate in this blog at your leisure.
Thanks for making this year’s 6-Pack an exciting one from the start and best of luck to all!
-Roy

Feb 8, 2008/7:15 amDear Ian, Sending much love to you on this day of sadness. I know how connected to his ideas and words you have been.It seems to have opened a positive pathway for you to be involved in TM and to have been involved with the work of The Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. I send a big embrace to you this day and always, Penny
Feb 6, 2008/10:15 amMornin’ Me Mates in The States…..& The UK,
I woke this morning to find an email from My Mate David,….telling me that
His Holiness The Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Passed Away last night at his home in Holland.
Being a practitioner of TM….I understand its OK….. but I cried anyway……
I hope the Light that He brought to the Darkness will Not Fade!
For the past Year & Half…I have been converting Reel to Reel Tapes..To CD…
of All The Maharishi’s Lectures that he gave round the world between 1956 and 1978
I was commissioned to do so by one of Maharishi’s best Students(Teacher)….and in the process of cleaning the audio signal and puting in Track Markers….I had to run
the Tapes through my Digital recorder..2.. sometimes 3 times each Tape… so you can imagine…. I think I’ve heard the Maharishi’s words…more than most.
I feel it is my Duty on This Day… just to say this one time…if I may….
Please check out TM… Not Just Any Meditation…but Transcendental Meditation..
The Maharishi way….no need to Follow Maharishi…its just for Yourself. All you
need the TM Teacher for is to get Your Own Mantra…and how to use it….and thats it…. no controlling the mind…or joining a weird bunch of people….you’ll still be You…but a Better Version.
I Love You All…and Myself……. and that only started to happen when I learned TM.
Jai Guru Dev. Ian.

Jan 31, 2008/9:45 amI DO REMEMBER MOST OF YOUR FLASHBACKS…SECOND HAND UNFORTUNATELY. THE MAJORITY OF THE GREAT MUSIC IN THOSE DAYS CAME FROM BLACK MUSICIANS…I FIND IT SAD TO SAY THAT IS NO LONGER THE CASE. HONESTLY, I WISH IT WASN’T THAT WAY. MEETING CHUCK BERRY AT BERRY FARM IN WENTZVILLE WAS A THRILL. I WAS IN A BAND THAT PLAYED THERE ONE WARM SUMMER EVENING. HE GOT UP ON STAGE AND PLAYED MY GIBSON ES-335. HE SAID HE LIKED MY “AXE”. CAN’T SAY I TOUCH A GUITAR MUCH ANYMORE…KEYBOARDS ONLY. MY VOICE SHOWS EVIDENCE OF THE VARIED STYLES OF MUSIC I’VE PLAYED AND LOVED. THE PHRASE FOR US OLD GUYS APPLIES, “KEEP ON, KEEPING ON, JOE”.

That’s great about Timmy getting his music!!!! Today’s a good day! Penny
Jan 31, 2008/6:17 amThanks George for the kind words about my sax work… We were talking about old school and I wonder if you remember a band in St Louis called Julius Jeffries and the Teen Tones… I was thinking about them the other night… they played at Gas Light Square in the 60′s… Brian Hyland was their sax player and he inspired me… First time I ever heard Desifinado was him playing… Also the Blue Note Club in E. St. Louis..(All Black Jazz Club) my best friend and I used to be the only 2 white guys in that club… but we hung out with the musicians and so… no one thought much of us being there. Even went to buy our Band Suits at Joe’s Clothes on Kings-highway… 2 set of suits one purple and one gold snakeskin….Big Gaudy Cufflinks and skinny ties…and Gangster Collar Shirts..Patent leather shoes with pointy toes.. We were white guys playing R&B music 90 miles north of St. Louis… in Pittsfield, Illinois. Don’t know how long you’ve been in St Louis but I thought it might be fun to see if you remembered any of those musical flashbacks. Joe
Timmy got his music…!!
Jan 31, 2008/1:19 amDear George, David, John, Ian, Deb, Joe and all other valued bloggers and trust me you are, It is a difficult time George I agree, for writers and Broadjam is a good avenue in my mind to motor down. No matter whether it’s the six pack competition, quest to get on a top ten, the broadjam deliveries or the lovely audience right here on the ever lovin blog, I find it a source of inspiration. I’m just glad to be a part of it all, this persistent blog and David if you ever find yourself on the dark side I’ll be right there trying to get you out!!! Love, Pen xox P.S I know me mate Ian is super busy at the moment and having a few computer difficulties…He’s still sipping that chamomile tea though, I’ll tell ya that much! LOL
