Taking their cue from such legendary bands like; The Stooges, T-Rex, Alice Cooper, KISS, The Rolling Stones, The New York Dolls, Cheap Trick and The Ramones, BlameThrower has truly forged a sound all their own and that's just how they prefer it. Straight ahead, high volume, good time rock-n-roll with a healthy mix of punk, blues and R&B for good measure with hooks galore. Each member of the act brings something a little different to the table: Punky, rockin' drums with fast fills; Pounding, driving bass; Lick infested, blazing guitars with bluesy, note-bending wah, and slide playing that any country fan would love. In addition, they have a live show that is just downright dangerous, high energized debauchery thanks to an unpredictable frontman that would give Iggy Pop, David Lee Roth, and Mick Jagger all a run for their money.

Bio

The very first thing discussed at the beginning of every initial conversation between each of the current members of BlameThrower was that the reason they were looking to get together was ... " to write some great tunes, play some rock-n-roll, and have a great time doing it", as well as try to bring an element of chaos and danger back into music that has been missing for some time now. There are no gimmicks, cliche's, or scenester / hipster trappings. Just pure, honest, loud, catchy, energetic, fun, true rock-n-roll.
BlameThrower has always been about great music from day one. It doesn't matter of it's rock, punk, pop, blues, garage, soul, surf, country, or R & B. In fact, you could catch these guys listening to any and all of these different styles of music on any given day, so it would be nearly impossible to even narrow down their favorite style of music, let alone their five favorite albums, because it changes on a daily basis. As long as a tune isn't overly polished by production, has a good beat, catchy hook, and a melody you find yourself singing or humming to three hours after the last listen, that'a all that really counts ... great songs.
However, there should be a few requirements to any music that you listen to, otherwise it's just simply noise; it should move you in some manner. It should be written with the head, heart or genitalia. Any good song should have a bit of emotional content, a dose of energy, and a spirit all it's own.
