Just released are two hot new CD's from Whitman Rinaldo on CreateSpace record label.

The instrumental "Guitar Snacks" is mellow blues and Americana, reminscent of a week at the beach. It recalls Allman Brothers, T-Bone Burnett and mellow Clapton.

"Pretty" is dedicated to his mother, whose picture is on the cover looking like Grace Kelly from 50 years ago. There are flavors of the Kinks on "Survivor's Song, plus UB40 and U2. Great songs, playful lyrics.

Whitman Rinaldo is a songwriter who led several rock and jazz bands over the years in Fairfax VA and Washington DC. He won several awards, including Honorable Mention Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest, Songwriters Association of Washington and Broadjam Top Ten with "Struggle", "Los Soldados" and "Lamb Jam." Luke Warm and the Red Hots featured Hot Licks guitar players Michael Fath and Paul Bell, and sax by former Chuck Magione Chris Vidala and Trumpeter Ray Disney. You can buy his CD's amazon.com or on www.CDBaby.com

Hello,

Thanks for the review. of "Scenic Route". It seemed like you spent some time on it. I appreciate that. I had to laugh at the comment about my Harmonica part being a synth. I actually played that part on a Honer 64 Chromatic. It reminded me of the time I had a Taxi reviewer tell me that I should not play so many 16th note phrases on the nylon string guitar synth part in "Anesthesia". He said If I slowed down it would sound more "real". of course the punch line is that I played the part on an miked real nylon string acoustic. I haven't noticed any phasing issues on any thing I have played it back on. I did double the melody on a stereo panning synth patch. Maybe that is what threw you. This piece was pretty experimental. Most of the rest of my stuff is fusion instrumental and features lot's of guitar in lots of styles. you can check it out at www.broadjam.com/robin.
Thanks again!
Robin

Sorry I didn't sense that the harmonica was real. Most of my local harmonica buddies sound like Bruce Willis --loud , distorted w/ bends on 3 notes.
