Personal Bio

I have been playing professionally for almost 20 years now in a variety of different acts. I was a touring musician for about 7 years making my sole living playing music. I have always been a prolific writer both as a solo writer and collaborator. Below is a timeline of some of my past bands and their releases.

1990-1993--I played in a band called Avalon as the lead singer and rhythm guitar player. We released one self-titled EP that is out of print (OOP) selling all copies that were manufactured.

1993-1995--I played in a band called Red All Over as the lead singer and rhythm guitar player. This is where I started my career as a touring musician. We also released one self-titled EP that is also (OOP) selling all copies that were manufactured.

1995-2003--I played in a band called Connecticut Yankee as the rhythm guitarist and main back-up singer. This is where I gained the most success in my playing career touring the mid-west extensively and opening for numerous national acts. We released two full-length CDs entitled "Signs of Trouble" and "Gravity". I shared extensively in the song-writing process, as the lead vocalist and I were the primary song-writers. Both CDs have very limited quantities left and are available upon request. There has been talks on releasing a third CD of material that was recorded and never released...

2003-2006--I got married and started a family!!!

2006-Present--I started my own band called The Troy Parker Band to play regionally 2 to 3 times monthly to showcase my songs. We have gained a nice following and play 100 to 250 capacity clubs filling most of them. I plan on releasing some material in the future, but until then I am offering downloads of my songs at the band web-site www.troyparkerband.com.
