Take a gun shot to the neck, 6 months in jail, and mix in a self proclaimed crazy half Mexican and you have the ingredients that make up Top Dead Celebrity. Take this crew and throw them on the road, into a rehearsal space, or in a recording studio and sheer alcohol fueled rock and roll mayhem comes out. Mixing styles of Motorhead, and AC/DC with Kyuss, and Artemis Pyledriver, Top Dead Celebrity isn't reinventing the wheel. They're just working on their version of the perfect well balanced version that can last a million miles before it explodes. OutBurn Magazine calls their self titled debut record released on Exigent a "glorious fuzzed out racket that kicks whole piles of ass" City Weekly calls the record "a punishing album full of tasty licks and maniacal vocals delivered in a drooling cadence." While Rob "Blasko" Nicholson (bass player for OZZY, Rob Zombie and Co-owner of Mercenary Management) has gone on record saying "You Guys Are Awesome! The songs are killer!"

Top Dead Celebrity

Salt Lake City isn't known for its rock and roll, or exciting culture. Its generally thought of as a small city in the middle of the west, with a lack of loud music, and no drinking. Top Dead Celebrity is four friends from Salt Lake City, UT with a penchant for loud! After numerous years of performing and touring with other bands, Jeff Anderson(gtr/vox) Jeremy Cardenas(gtr/vox) Jeff Johnson(bass) and Jesse Mills(drm) had found the the click.; that rare group of musicians, all friends, who can climb into a small rehearsal space together night after night, and continue to write songs without bickering, flaking, or whining. Then turn around and climb into a small sweaty van, tour without bickering, whining, or getting arrested. Top Dead Celebrity was an immediate local success, and started garnering the attention of a few small labels with their big riffs, and energetic live shows.
The band is touring regionally nonstop to promote their 2008 self titled release on Exigent Records. A new van, a new trailer, a drummer recovered from a gun shot to the neck, probations over, fines paid, and a constant show schedule is set to make 2008 a busy year for this rock foursome. Including being nominated for City Weeklys (www.slweekly.com) Best Hard Rock act in their annual Slammys competition which is the top shelf of Utah's local music scene.
Rob "Blasko" Nicholson (bass player for OZZY, Rob Zombie and Co-owner of Mercenary Management) has gone on record saying "You Guys Are Awesome! The songs are killer!" Stephen Pearcy (Lead Singer of Ratt) has said "These guys are the next Motorhead!" City Weekly calls their record "a punishing album full of tasty licks and maniacal vocals delivered in a drooling cadence." Top Dead Celebrity have played with such bands as Weedeater,Saviours,Black Cobra,Jucifer, and local friends Iota to name a few.
