My Bio

Thunda Katt was born and raised south Florida. He began writing poetry at the age of 10 and was always a lover of music of all generes ranging from Soul/R&B,Pop,Rock,Hip Hop to Country music. Thunda Katt would listen to the instrumental version of his favorite songs and began praticing writing different lyrics to those songs. Little did he know this would have a profound effect on his musical career.

When Hip Hop music began to grow in the early 1980's, Thunda Katt would listen to every hip hop record he could find from The Sugar Hill Gang and Kurtis Blow,to Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five. "I just loved the energy and freedom of expression that Hip Hop had." Always following hip hop, Thunda Katt began trying his hand at producing.

In late 2010, Thunda Katt began to upload his Hip Hop and R&B music beats to as many websites as he could to gain exposure for his style of production.

Thunda Katt would eventually come across the website dopetracks.com, a underground hip hop website with a emphasis on the classic style of hip hop he grew up on.



"I loved what I heard the first time I went on the website." After posting several tracks on the website, Thunda Katt received a message from a member of the rap group Da Dirty Dutchmob, Joe Alias.



"I was shocked when I received an email from Joe Alias commenting that he liked my production style and asked me to submitt a few tracks." Joe Alias recorded a song to one of Thunda Katt's beats called "We Dangerous" and began to get rave reviews on dopetracks.com and the song reached as high as #3 on the website music charts. Thunda Katt also had 4 of 5 songs place in the top 5 on the website chart, with 2 songs in the top 10 at the same time!! Shortly after, Thunda Katt was asked to be a producer for Da Dirty Dutchmob and currently producing music tracks for the group and other indie artists all over the world.



Thunda Katt has began receiving worldwide exposure of his music from as far as Russia and has been contacted by several Indie artists. "It's amazing what the internet can do for you music career." Thunda Katt just had his first album credit with the song "We Dangerous" on the Da Dirty Dutchmob mixtape release "We Are Dutchmob" and will have several songs on the upcoming Joe Alias solo album "Return Of The King" in March 2011.

Thunda Katt is anticipating 2011 to be a big and very busy year. With several projects being released in March 2011 and a album for Dirty Dutchmob being released later in the year 2011, look for big things and great music tracks from Hip Hop/R&B producer Thunda Katt.
