The Motherhive Syndicate is an original band of gangsters from Madison, WI, blending a unique blend of aggressive rock, funk, jazz, metal and groove with intelligent lyrics to challenge the mind and move the soul. Comprised of members from other notable Madison and Milwaukee area rock bands, including: Rapscallion, Hazmat, Chemical Smile and El Donk.

Influences: Gov't Mule, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Incubus, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Soundgarden, Janes Addiction, Primus, Blind Melon, Tool, Tom Waits, Faith No More, Dream Theater, Frank Zappa, Emerson Lake & Palmer, and the Reverend Horton Heat, to name a few.

Michael Kerwin, Lead vocalist and head crooner, Michael's voice blends a mixture of tone power and sustain, A soulful voice with an underlying growl.

Sven Hansen, Lead and rhytum guitars, Sven's playing stlye leans towards the Funk/progressive
with a touch of blues. An all around versitile musician.

Eric Hansen, Bass guitar and piano parts, Eric has THE tone and right hand technique to make people stand up and take notice, along with undeniable groove.

Joe Elias, Drummer/percussionist,
Joe is the newest member of the Syndicate "Family". A welcome addtion, Lending his tight tempos and serious chops too the Syndicate sound.
