The Dickweed Jazz Trio Bio

The Dickweed Jazz Trio is a unique musical experience in that the music ranges in genre from Jazz to Electronica to Blues to Experimental to Rock of all styles. The Dickweed Jazz Trio has been writing, performing and recording music for over 20 years. We have self-produced 7 albums of all-original songs in the last three years alone.

Currently, The Dickweed Jazz Trio material is written, performed, engineered and recorded as a solo studio project. Dave Melnick writes, performs and records all parts with the help of, on some tunes, loops and samples.

Loops & samples are used in some of the songs. Particularly those by Sony, Big Fish Audio and M-Audio, although others are used as well. All material is original, and the use of loops/samples is per (to the best of my knowledge) the respective licensing agreements, which allow such use as long as they are part of an original "derivative" work, which covers all of The Dickweed Jazz Trio material.
