The Crimson Elixir originally started in the summer of 2006. Garrek Reed called up long time friends Jonathan Arnold and Xavier Gavin. A couple weeks later Jonathan introduced the band to a new guitarist, John Brashear. Later that year, Jonathan stepped down create a new band.
