Biography

Ted Watson is a singer/songwriter from Greenwich Village, New York City. Watson has been writing songs on guitar and harmonica for years, and at the age of nineteen, Watson has accumulated years of experience not only writing songs, but performing them for live audiences. His mixture of pop and folk been capturing audiences from New York City to Washington D.C. for years. Watson's formal training began at the tender age of 5 on the piano, and by the age of thirteen, he had also taught himself to play guitar, bass, harmonica, and drums. His influences range from The Beatles and Billy Joel, to Led Zeppelin and Coldplay. By the age of fifteen, he had put together his backing band Tenby, and played almost daily at pubs and clubs around the Washington D.C. area. Tenby recorded a full length album and later disbanded. Ted Watson's strength is in live performances and has been honing this talent for years. He's participated in several live music events; as a solo artists and in several bands. Watson now attends New York University and has taken the opportunity to introduce a whole new crowd to his catchy pop/folk songs. He can be found performing at clubs around the Greenwich Village and in constantly working on new material. In September of 2010 Ted Watson started a collaboration with world-renowned producer Arty Skye and Skye Lab Music Group. They are currently working on an EP which will be available on all major digital retailers.
