Sunny's Bio

Sunny Jenkins was born on May 25 in Gary In, the murder capital of the nation. Where most black males are either dead or in jail by the age of 18. At the age of two with his mother, Sun moved to Orange County, CA where his father was waiting for them. Shortly after their arrival, his father left to pursue other opportunities and young Sun and his mother were left alone in a strange place to fend for themselves. Sun recalls sleeping in cars, and moving around, giving him his first taste of the hard knock life.
His life was saved by Hip-hop. At the age of 11 Sun found his passion for rapping, influenced by the group Another Bad Creation. He had always been a fan of Hip Hop, and now he knew even as a kid it was not out of reach to get to the top. This sparked the fire within him and he started to horn his craft, knowing he would not be happy unless he was the best. Under the musical influence of such greats as Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. Sun went to work to prefect his style and sound.
It was not until spending two years in prison, which forced him to miss the birth of his child did he realize rapping to him was not a pastime, it was his life.
The triumph of Sun's debut album Tha Story is more then a local rappers attempt to make it to the top of the rap game, Tha Story is a testament of the lifestyle most black men find unavoidable to endure. Since then Sunny Jenkins has continue to make music and a lot of noise on the local market.
Sunny has performing all over Wisconsin. In 2007 Sunny along with his group F-Squad he opened the Twista Adrenalin Rush show in Madison WI, performing in from hundreds of hip - hop fans. A highlight in his independent career.
He has also followed up his debut album with Tha Story Chapter 2 - Pain for Peace. Executive produced The Mask and Glove - Mix tape and co- produced Blazin J's the Mix tape.
In June of 2010 he graduated from Madison Media Institute with a degree in Audio engineering.
In January of 2013 he graduated from Madison Media Institute with a Bachelors in Entertainment and Media business. Sunny then released the Eclipse album in the summer of 2013
