Tall band.

Smell nice.

Good table manners.

All the neighborhood Moms think they're hot.

Who is suburban disturbance?

Tall. Mysterious. Aromatic. Elixir of the Gods. sd has been called all of these things in their short history together. sd has carved out a very comfortable niche in the middle-aged/neighborhood dad/garage band segment, of the local Madison, Wisconsin music scene. But to understand the essence of sd today, one must understand where they've been. So let's meet the band...

Greg (bass guitar) played in various skiffle bands throughout the early '80s, foremost of which was The Noyz--a power-trio known for their all out assault on the senses in their live performances throughout the Richmond, VA underground. After the tragic deaths--and subsequent conviction in absentia--of both the original drummer and guitarist for the band, Greg accomplished what many said couldn't be done: he made people forget The Noyz.

After a four-year sabbatical studying with Tibetan monks, he came back refreshed with a new found appreciation for how to inflict auditory damage to the unsuspecting masses with the formation of, and extraordinary run with, the seminal band of the decade: MP.

MP generated a huge following throughout the metropolitan Washington, D.C., area. Some have even proclaimed that after attending a live MP show, their lives have "never been the same." Unfortunately, numerous internecine squabbles, legal disputes, and fistfights over song royalties ultimately lead to the demise of MP. Several attempts to resurrect MP over the years--Your P**** (with Jimmy Page on guitar and Stewart Copeland on drums); The New MP (with Jeff Beck on guitar, Tito Pointe on drums, and Dave Brubeck on piano)--each failed to stir the passions of all but the most ardent fans. Like the Korean armistice of 1953, MP is, technically, still at war and has not officially disbanded.

Since 2005, Greg has simply answered to the moniker "The Playmaker."

Scott (drums and vocals) works hard, plays hard, and drums even harder. Focused. Determined. Loyal. Biker. Hunter. Hockey player. Republican. Enough said.

Carmine (lead guitar, backup vocals) has been called the "Thinking Man's Guitarist." Comparisons to Clapton, Vaughn, De Martini and Slash are common and expected. Those to Einstein, Edison, and Kyosaki are less so, but equally appropriate.

His ability to shred his axe -- with his eyes closed and body swaying to the music -- is legendary. Rumors are pervasive, yet unsubstantiated, of Carmine's ability to adjust his volume, tone, effects, and pickup configurations while playing. On a good night (and when a string breaks from those grueling bends), he can even be seen effortlessly and seamlessly switching guitars during a song.

His most noted skill is found within his innate ability to identify, locate and acquire high-end sound equipment and instruments from stores throughout the country. Carmine has made significant financial contributions to PRS, Gibson, Taylor, Boss, Mesa Boogie, Genz-Benz, Shure, and Crest and QSC Audio.

Doug (vocals and guitar) is a lover of people, poetry, and fancy wristwatches--but not necessarily in that order. He's also the only natural blonde in the band.
