Bio

Changing Voices
Although I've practiced architecture, taught in colleges, and worked as a software developer, music has always been at the core of my consciousness. My first solos were as a boy soprano. When I could no longer use that voice, I moved to the lower brass; trombone, baritone horn and tuba, learning to jam with a dixieland band in the process. The dead white guys (Bach through Stravinsky) were major influences all along. I spent my adolescent years soaking up Mahler like a sponge. When my adult voice arrived, I moved back to choral singing with some solo work. But even then, having heard the electronic sounds of the first Moog synthesizers and the early compositions of Morton Subotnick, I knew that my next voice would be somewhere in that realm. I just had to wait a few years for the technology to come to my desktop. The tools available now enable me to perform, record, sequence and mix all of the voices finding their way from the inner world to the outer one.
