Zach Spencer Biography

Spenfield is the project of 22 year old singer/songwriter Zach Spencer who has been developing his craft of songwriting since the late 1990's. While performing as front man for his former band in the St. Louis, MO area, Zach had the great opportunity of headlining regional festivals and opening for national acts such as: Silvertide, Tantric, Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, and Papa Roach. Leaving his band in 2004, Zach acquired his own recording equipment and began recording his own demos at home. It was very soon after that he began to share these demos with contacts he had made in the industry. Producer/ Engineer Daniel Mendez (Lit, Duran Duran, Dashboard Confessional, Train) was one of those contacts and was impressed enough to take a chance on recording a three song demo. After a week of recording in Los Angeles in August 2006, the results show a singer/songwriter ready for the mainstream market.
