JayRyde was born and raised in AZ, Sierra Vista the bottom half of the state where complete desert surrounds him and mountains tower over. At the age of 16 the athelete inside him died along with the determination to finish school, and he began to roam the streets and live the night life in a town known for drugs. Friends around were envolved with using and distributing drugs on a daily bases and pulling him closer into a life far away from music. JayRyde was born into a family business where he learned to manage money (legit restaurant) he would soon lose that as well when it closed down due to family matters. Artist like Tupac, Doctor Dre, Notorious B.I.G. Jay-Z, Nas and Ludacris influenced and perhaps made JayRyde follow the music and creativity he had inside him.
