Ask songwriter, performing (vocals, piano, guitar, harmonica) and recording artist Cory Morgenstern and he'll tell you Soular System took half his life to produce. Morgenstern's journey as an artist ran counter to his family's wishes ("You want to be a what?!"), and eventually clashed with the music industry's culture and values. The New York Times featured him as a working musician and quoted him, "Engagements build up steadily over the months . . . things get frenetic, people go crazy".
His determined journey of faith culminates in a CD of thick musical and vocal textures, where there is lots going on, including keyboards, acoustic and electric guitars, soaring lead guitars, heavenly choirs (all played and sung by Morgenstern), the soulful and dynamic Lily White on saxophones, and out of this world special effects, hinting at Morgenstern's Sci Fi influences. Soular System was produced by Cory Morgenstern and Glenn Swan, mixed by Acar Key at Unique Recording Studios, New York and mastered by Vlado Meller at Sony Mastering Studios.
While still in his 20's, Morgenstern composed the first verse of God Saves Us All, his tribute to religious, racial and economic persecution, his epiphany to second verse lyrics happening twenty five years later.
