THE SLUM BROTHERS

The Slum Brothers is an American hip hop group signed to Suicide Records. Though they were together since high school, the group went under many aliases, notably, M.D.S. Production.
The first vinyl by Slum Brothers under this name was Play This, was released in 1987 on Universal Sound Productions Inc., before the label established itself to one of the largest music distributors. After this 12" they released Because I'm a Pro in 1988. M.D.S. Production left the label for creative differences, changed the group name to The Slum Brothers, and released The Sure Shot and 6 million MC's in 1995. A music video was also released for "The Sure Shot". When under the label "Suicide Records", Reggie Reg signed the group Scienz of Life as their first act. In 1996, the group released th 12" Stop Fronting and Regular Niggers on Michu Records. This release was in response to the East-West coast hip hop battle going on at the time. In 1997, the group released the 12" Fool's Paradise and ? (the question) under Scientific Records.
Jus' Regular Niggers: The Diaries of a Porch Monkey
In 1999, the group released the 12" album Jus' Regular Niggers: The Diaries of a Porch Monkey. This album consisted of their hit singles along with many more songs. Through creative differences with the label, the album was taken off shelves and taken out of production soon after its release. The album is exclusively rare, and to today the album still hasn't continued its distribution. Well under 2,000 copies are in circulation worldwide.
