Growing up around several different backgrounds and being raised by
African-American and Japanese parents would soon distinguish Shella's
sound in music as well as her accent (remaining a mystery to so many).
After a couple years of slowly developing her style of rapping, she came
to meet her future mentor at the age of 13. Kevin Carter aka Watchdog
became Shella's manager and key figure in her further development.
After developing a following in hometown
Hawaii, Shella and Watchdog felt ready to take it to the next level.
One package finally got attention from
Elbert Shamsid-Deen of New Happening Productions. They, with Shella's mother decided to
expose Shella to the Big Apple where she was able to meet and collab with some of her
favorite rappers in the Ruff Ryders camp. Graduating early from High School with honors she entered Columbia College in Chicago where she is now studying the music business at age 17. She can be seen at www.watchdogentertainment.com.

Kevin Carter aka Watchdog became Shella's manager and key figure in her further development. After completing a demo and developing a following in hometown Hawaii, Shella and Watchdog felt ready to take it to the next level. After sending out numerous packages across the globe, one finally got the attention it deserved.
Mr. Elbert Shamsid-Deen of New Happening Productions contacted Watchdog with interest. They along with Shella's mother decided to expose Shella to the Big Apple where she was able to meet some of her favorite rappers in the Ruff Ryders camp. She would also record alongside top notch producers. Bringing Shella to New York brought her to that next level she was seeking and assured her confidence toward success in the music biz.
