RoscoeB's Bio

With musical and performance inclinations as long as I can remember, there was rarely a time that I wasn’t performing in some way as a child. My first instrument was the electric guitar and I can humorously recall performing “concerts” for the neighborhood kids. It must have been horrendous but I sure thought it was great. On high school career day, I told the guidance counselor that I wanted to be a rock star when I grew up. Even though my parents weren’t surprised, the counselor raised his eyebrows and urged me to consider something a little more traditional. Although I soon found computer science, I still formed a high school rock band and continued to perform during my college years as well. Unfortunately reality set in and paying the rent meant getting an education and finding a “real job”.

Which leads us to the present time ….

My unbound variety of interests in life have blended a vast array of artistic styles that mold my musical taste and creativity. Although I’ve been a Process Control Engineer (at a major US steel producer) for the last 20 years, my musical aspirations have never left my heart. I have continued to create music while chasing other dreams and studying other instruments such as piano, harmonica, bass guitar, acoustic guitar and even the ukulele. Vocal lessons have always been on the list as well and I will readily attest that I am most self-conscious about that part of my presentation. However as every closet musician knows, it’s difficult to juggle personal, professional and family responsibilities. There just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day. So, I try to hone my skills as time permits. Right now I’m entirely self-sufficient when it comes to recording my music and I’m also trying to learn more about the production side in order to produce a more quality sound.

I really do appreciate your time and thanks for listening!
