Ron is from Dundee on Scotland's east coast. Recently returned to writing having given up on his songwriting career dreams 25 years ago.

Ron's music covers acoustic, roots, folk, country and celtic. He has teamed up with 26 gammy nominations producer John Wooler while working on Americelt Union, his debut album. It features songs from classic singer songwriters such as Van Morrison, John Martyn, Roy Orbison and Nick Drake as well as several of his own tracks.

The album is a fusion of singer songwriter, roots, folk and country with a celtic flavouring. Produced by John Wooler, his studio band featured David Immergluck (Counting Crows), Steve Hodges (Tom Waits Band), Jeff Turmes (Fabulous Thunderbirds), Eric Rigler (Braveheart soundtrack) and Kathleen Keane (Bad Haggis). Engineer was Mark Johnson (Paul Simon, Jackson Browne).

Me and My Music ? 2003 onwards

Finally crossed the finishing line of life events 25 years on and lifted my singer/songwriter career ambition off the ?sometime later? shelf in 2003.

Now writing again. Recorded debut album Americelt Union in November 2004 at Steakhouse Studios Los Angeles, Album released July 2005. Produced by John Wooler 26 nominatios and 5 times Grammy Award winner. House band included David Immergluck (Counting Crows), Steve Hodges (Tom Waits Band), Jeff Turmes (Fabulous Thunderbirds), Eric Ridler (Braveheart Film Soundtrack) and Kathleen Keane (Bad Haggis). Lily Holbrook and Aerron Chaudhra guest on backing vocals.

1980 - 2003

After several periods in London I finally returned to Dundee. I took up mainstream employment and continued with music on a semi professional basis playing with contemporary folk and local pop cover bands. Although continuing to perform on the local circuit, a number of life events and circumstances resulted in my ambition to carve a career as a singer/songwriter being placed carefully on the ?sometime later? shelf.
