Biography

Robin Yukiko is an American singer-songwriter with a versitile soprano voice and piano style. Her music, often called "unique pop/rock", can also be described as jazzy, musical theater-like, funny and haunting.

Robin notoriously began her singing "career" at the age of three and started writing songs at 14 with the aid of her father, a professional musician, who taught her music theory. A graduate from Berklee College of Music (2006), she has performed as an opera singer, a jazz singer, and a rock musician in venues from coffee shops to Carnegie Hall (1996). At 18, she released her first album "Me and My Apathy", and has continued to develop her crafts, drawing inspiration from any source she can find.

In 2007, Robin received Honourable Mention for her stride piano pop song, "Fool Who Left", in the 2007 We Are Listening Singer/Songwriter Awards. That same year, Robin represented her country at the International Counter Match of the World Figure Skating Championships (USA vs. Japan) by singing the Star Spangled Banner alongside pop singer Ayaka Hirahara, who represented Japan. Sponsored by Nichion, Inc, the national anthem was broadcast throughout Japan on TBS.

Having lived in Japan for 2.5 years, Robin is now preparing to return to the States in April and pursue music full-time.
