Bio

Robin Lee is packing up again and hitting the road on a solo tour across the country in her pick-up truck, playing clubs, festivals, and open mics along the way. She is well known in places such as Seattle's Blue Moon, Dubliner, Kate's, and Latitude 76 to name a few. Born with a traveling bone, she's also played at well-known open mics from coast to coast such as Jesse's in Long Island all the way to Santa Rosa's Ace in the Hole and The Burren in Massachusetts. "You never know who you'll meet. Sometimes the calibur of music is more interesting than on the Sunset Strip." She prefers to play with musicians who haven't made it yet. The hungry underdogs are her kind of people. Pure and simple, it's all about authenticity for Robin.

Robin's songwriting is edgy with a touch of outlaw country. Lyrically, she doesn't hold back, which means some of her songs may be radio-friendly only in the alternative country genre. There are many musical directions that she takes, from country to cocktail. In November 2007, Robin teamed up with producer Ray Peterssen and Strate Sound Studios in San Diego, CA. They put together a team of some of the best sidemen in town. The result was the April 2008 release of "Sleep When I'm Dead."

Early reviews from Arizona call attention to Robin's style that "rocks like John Mellencamp. Some of her songs have a bawdy, sexy feel, while others provide a wonderful traditional protest beat. The title track "Sleep When I'm Dead" is a raucus honky-tonk gem that would make Hank Williams, Sr. proud."

Can't go wrong with that kind of review.
