Bio

Remoter was formed in 1998 in San Jose, California, and includes former members of The Toledo Show, 10-Bass-T, and Café of Regret.

3 members of Remoter worked together previously in San Jose band Café of Regret, which achieved a large cult following in the Bay Area supporting bands such as Everclear, Tool, Cracker, Dramarama, The Gin Blossoms, School of Fish, Mary's Danish and 4-non-blondes. In addition to their successes in the Bay Area, Cafe of Regret toured Los Angeles, performing at Coconut Teaszer, The Roxy and Dragonfly.

Over the past 2 years Remoter have concentrated on recording and producing their upcoming album 'gun.'. Advance copies of 'gun.' are receiving positive reviews and regular airplay on college radio in the Bay Area. Tracks have also been featured in several independent films. The album is expected to be available commercially in December 2001.

Remoter was also a featured performer at the 2000 San Jose SOFA/SFMX festival and their live shows are 'not to be missed' according to press.


John Flannery (guitar) lives in L.A. and currently works as a producer/engineer and a session musician. Some of his credits include Porno For Pyros, The Edgar Winter Group, Monster Magnet, The Toledo Show, Boo Yaa T.R.I.B.E. and Sweetwater. He is also a licensed Wizard, performing feats with fireballs and smoke to the delight of few.
