In 2001, drawing from such wide ranging musical influences as The Smashing Pumpkins, Zwan, Radiohead, Front Line Assembly, Delerium, and others, antiUrcec and jasonFIST set out to form projectFM with the mission in mind to create a new, innovative sound different from anything being played at the time. Popularity was never important, the only priority was the music. The debut was to be entitled "a.d.", and with 4 tracks complete, it was evident that the combination of antiUrcec's melodic/ambient sound with jasonFIST's hypnotizing beats and dark synth allowed for a different sound that is exactly what the two had in mind for this collaboration. FIST was able to use his deeper, darker sounds to create a melodic, hypnotizing rhythm that was aimed at tapping into the consciousness of his listeners. While antiUrcec was impressed with the sound he and FIST had created with "a.d.", he was disturbed by the growing obsession FIST had with his 'hypnotic' beats. The two decided to part ways
