Prefer not to say started out as a one-man-band project in 1998.
My name is Francesco Santi and I am a musician-songwriter-singer-producer from Rome,Italy.
I am currently looking for musician in order to go on stage but also have the chance to work with other people.

I started writing lyrics in english at the age of 22, then I bought my first master keyboard in 1998 and wanted to create a one-man-band.
As most of my music which actually came out at the very beginning was not supposed to have any lyric I decided that "Prefer not to say" could fit perfectly as the name of my own project: I was rather into making instrumental music than sending any personal "message" to audiences...
Through the years, though, I have started over writing lyrics and along with the evolution of my music the project has began taking more the shape of a band.
Prefer not to say sounded nice to me anyway....
My influences are Depeche Mode above all, but also psychedelic rock bands such as Porcupine Tree, alternative bands such as A.I.R or music by different kinds of artists: Bjork, Coldplay, Gus Gus, U2, Muse......
I like to think that the music I make is the music I'd like to listen to the Radio.....no matter what kind of music.....
