Pete Lampron

Pete Lampron is a NH native and currently lives in the state capital of Concord. He started playing guitar somewhere around the age of 11.
By the time Pete hit junior high school, he was already picking Grateful Dead tunes, studying Hendrix and Van Halen, and nuturing an obsession with the Beatles and eventually the blues, particularly the Texas-based sounds of ZZ Top and Stevie Ray Vaughn.
Pete’s high school classmates knew something was brewing when a high school talent show found him jamming in an impromptu trio. The trio was an afterthought, meant only to fill time between acts, and they were stuck down in the orchestra pit of the auditorium. Pete played with has back facing the 200+ kids, thinking they weren’t even paying attention. After shredding through a standard 12-bar blues jam, the auditorium erupted wildly, and even more so when the students found out the trio wasn’t actually part of the competition and couldn’t be voted for. Pete knew he’d found his calling.
Pete has shared the stage with artists including Rounder Records blues legends Roomful of Blues, Warner/Metal Blade artist Hank Decken, and former Southside Johnny guitarist Joel Cage.
2005 saw Pete travel to Nashville to record four cuts for Wild Oats Records, which were released on the WOR sampler "Reflections in the Stream".
Nashville songwriting legend Scotty Turner has described Pete’s voice as “quite an instrument” and Boston Soundcheck Magazine has characterized Pete’s guitar playing as “gorgeous”.
Currently, Pete performs in the classic rock band Forge, who also showcase his original rock and blues songs. This hard-working trio performs to endless rave reviews at various New England venues, and have recently self-released their debut rock album, "The Dash".
Pete also performs in acoustic shows with Forge bass player Mike Pollini, and is known for his unique combination of blues, folk and rock. A solo site is online as well at www.petelampron.com
Currently Pete's Forge internet site (www.forgeband.com) has enjoyed 1,000's of visits per month, and since May of 2007 has seen well over 11,000 visitors.
Pete’s work can be heard on the Wild Oats Records sampler, Reflections in the Stream, available at awww.wildoatsrecords.com or www.cdbaby.com.
