Josh Perlman was born in Los Angeles, grew up in Colorado, and studied at Columbia University in New York City. While living in New York Josh took a year off from University to record his first album, "Cure for Death." Josh has since lived in Berlin, Germany, Denver, and Washington DC. He was the first place winner in the "Social Commentary" category of the 2005 Unisong International Songwriting
Contest. He currently lives in Granada, Spain.

Josh Perlman´s songs are eclectic: stories about everyday life... vivid fantasies... murder ballads... self-effacing love-songs ... social satire... and humoristic but insistent appeals to a more truthful way of life.
