About Us

Cabaret has three synergistic elements: the performer, the song and the audience. The very nature of cabaret is that it’s personal – for the performer and the audience.

The performers reveal themselves to an audience through songs and stories delivered in a simple, honest way in an intimate space that shatters the fourth wall.

The audience participates in a direct, emotional conversation with the artist and leaves feeling connected and personally touched.

NoHo Studio Live offers a unique opportunity for cabaret artists to share the intimacy of their performances with wider audiences. Picture the magic of bringing the performer, the song and the audience into a professional recording studio.

NoHo Studio Live is will hold monthly Cabaret Nites hosted by MaryJo Mundy (who also hosts the popular "Mundy On Tuesdays!" open mic at the Gardenia club see www.maryjomundy.com for more info) at Entourage Studios in North Hollywood, California where artists can record their acts in front of an audience.

Located in the heart of the emerging NoHo Arts District, Entourage Studios has the right sonics, the right acoustics and state-of-the-art recording equipment. Its 9’ concert grand piano is considered one of the finest studio pianos. This is the best possible recording environment for producing high quality CDs.

NoHo Studio Live is the most cost-effective way for Cabaret artists to get their act on CD. There are none of the additional expenses for equipment rentals, truck rentals, set-up charges, etc. that are incurred doing remote recordings.

Andy Waterman, producer and recording engineer with three Grammy nominations, has recorded well over three hundred albums. With 30-40 live albums to his credit, Andy is a great resource on everything Cabaret – from conception, production, and recording, CD pressing and marketing. He is also well versed in intellectual property development and clearance. For additional information, go to: www.andywatermanproductions.com.
