Nik Deacon began songwriting for his first album "Renaissance Man" in 1984. The CD was complete in 1992. Since then he has written/produced 9 more albums including his favorite "Am I Good Enough?". With the advent of computers he has been able to accomplish much on the Mac. Once his home studio had several rack mounts and took up the whole room. Now he uses Digital Performer and Reason software to do it all. His 4 octave vocal range allows him to sing the lead as well as all of the backup vocals right into the machine for mixing.
His primary goal is to place songs in film and television. He feels that the marriage of moving images and music is one of the most powerful mediums available.
When he's not writing songs and singing them he's usually in his art studio preparing new artwork for his bi-annual art parties.
