My name is Chris McGowan. I am a one man show. I am the only member of My Glass. I have been writing music for the last 5 years. I have also been playing piano, bass, guitar, drums for the past 10 years. I love writing music and hope to do it as a career soon.

Bio

My name is Chris McGowan. I write the songs and play all the instruments for My Glass. I started playing music when I was about 5, thanks to my Dad! Ever since then I couldn't keep my hands off an instrument, whether it be piano, bass, guitar, drums, violin. I have been writing music for the past 6 years. Over the last couple years, as a songwriting standpoint, I feel that my music has really developed into strong songs.
Sometimes what motivates me to write a new song is hearing a great song from a different songwriter. I will start writing a song with keeping that other song in mind. Therefore my song is directly influenced by that song. Whether it be with time signatures, harmonies, instrumentations, lyric content, or song forms.
I also like many different styles of music. And that gives me an edge I feel because I have a very diverse writing ability.
My last band I was in was called William Glass. We broke up and I moved on by myself....Hence MY Glass:)
