music & pictures is a music production company comprised of a select group of composers from around the globe. We compose original music for a variety of content - primarily television and film - placed via partnerships with several production libraries and publishers.
Our music can be heard in television shows like "Law and Order," "The Mentalist," "Chicago Fire," "The Office," "Pawn Stars," "Smallville," "The Bernie Mac Show" and many others, worldwide.
I had the benefit of working in post-production for one of the longest-running and highest-rated daytime TV shows. Day in and day out I placed music into tape packages, working from scripts provided by Producers. That experience was priceless, and is applied to both composing and producing music and pictures' catalog.

I founded music + pictures in 2000, to provide a platform for the music I wrote, and later to help produce and shop other composers' songs. Before that I had written and produced dance tracks for the two Chicago-based house record labels, DJ International and Chicago Trax. In addition to the records I made and remixed for those labels, I scored three Billboard-charting dance tracks, "House Ain't Given Up",(sung by Club Nouveau lead singer Kevin Irving), "Move" (sung by Darryl Pandy) and "Hey Rocky!" (mixed by Frankie Knuckles).
Also an award-winning editor, I worked with Production company H-Gun! for approximately five years and edited clips for Public Enemy ("Night Train"), Nine Inch Nails ("Down in It" & "Head like a Hole"), Soundgarden, Ministry, R. Kelley, and many others.
In 1994 I went to work for Harpo Studios, where I edited and inserted countless tracks into the tape packages we produced for the 'The Oprah Winfrey Show'.
