Bio

Great songs come from life experiences and feelings to which most people can relate. On the strength of his earnest lyrics and straight forward music, Matt Crumpton has written songs about life, love, and particular experiences which allow the listener to grab onto the song and put themselves in the driver's seat.

After graduating from High School outside of Cleveland, OH, Matt ended his tenure as the lead singer and lyric writer for Prolific (think Incubus meets Red Hot Chili Peppers with Darius Rucker's lyrics). He then moved on to Athens, OH and Ohio University. While at OU, Matt began to write much more of his own material. In April of 2002, Matt began playing full band concerts at local venues. By the Spring of 2004, his name was well known on campus due to the many live shows and the sale of his first CD, "My Life As That Guy".

MLATG sold over 350 copies. Not bad considering that Matt never went on tour and much of his fanbase simply burned the cds or downloaded the songs.

In the spring of 2004 Matt released an untitled EP with 7 new songs, including one (Fade Away) featuring Matt on the piano.

While music has taken a backseat to law school for now, Matt always enjoys playing his songs for people and would love to get his music heard by as many people as possible.
