Bio

Marcquis Melody is both of Kingston Jamaica and Oakland California. He sings Roots and Dancehall Reggae Music. In Jamaica his singing is often compared to that of the great Bob Marley!

Marcquis Melody begins his singing career in Elementary School where he was a member of the school band. It was his friends in Kingston who encouraged him to pursue a career singing Reggae Music telling him, "No matter what you do, don't ever stop singing!"

In 2001 Marcquis Melody released 3 Singles. These are the first public previews of his singing talent! The first is a smooth Roots style tune called "Take It Easy." The second is sort of a fun Dancehall style song called "So Many Girls." The third features a more serrious Roots track called "Tree Of Life."

Currently, Marcquis Melody is working to complete his first full-length album project titled "Straight From the Heart." It is due for release Spring 2002. Please stay tuned to this Artist!
