"Earthy, intimate, contemporary folk. Lush vocals and lyrics in a Jewel, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon vein."

Lois Fein is a Seattle-based singer-songwriter who has performed at the Northwest Folklife Festival and in various acoustic coffeehouses in the Pacific Northwest and Vancouver, Canada.

One of six children, Lois grew up in a classical-music, opera-loving family. She started playing acoustic guitar at age ten and later fell in love with the richness of open guitar tunings when she took a songwriting class with David Wilcox. Endless years of listening to James Taylor, no doubt, has happily influenced Lois' songwriting.

Lois Fein's debut CD, "Step into the Water," is due for independent release in summer 2006.
