In your face, middle fingers waving, set to the backdrop of gritty, cutting guitar tones,
thick bass lines, ballsy all out drum beats, and vocals to match the emotion is the best way to describe the "Self-Proclaimed" Trunge band JUNKHEAD.

Formed in the Autumn of 2007, This four peice Grunge/Metal band started writing material that would later serve as the backdrop of Upstate Ny Grunge. Vinnie C. (Vocals and Guitar), Patrick Reed (Guitars), Jeremy Tobin (Drums) and Trace Hilt (Bass) began working with Bob Shutter and Helderberg Studios, along with Daniel Ross of Best Bytes Media, to record their first EP entitled "The Helderberg Demo's". This EP was released in January 2008 at the first showcase the band played at Valentines in Albany NY.

Soon after the release of the EP, Junkhead played many dates including one with Capital Records recording artist, and one of Junkheads major influences, HURT. This would mark the first time Junkhead has opened for a national act, and played in front of close to 700 people. gaining much notoriety from this show, Junkhead pushed on and began securing more dates for the summer.

Soon After this show Junkhead had signed with indie label Gold Rush Records to begin work on the quartets much anticipated debut Cd. Produced by Junkhead and Bob Shutter of Helderberg Studios, and Engineered by Bob Shutter as well.

Junkhead has been featured on local radio 104.9 The Edge for the Capital Underground program with a live in-studio interview, and has recieved airplay for "The Helderberg Demos" EP. Playing two local shows with Ralph Renna and Capital Underground as well.

June of 2008, Junkhead self-released another EP entitled the "Just as Ugly " Ep which included rare tracks, live tracks, and other notables that were released for free at summer shows, while working in the studio on the upcoming debut Cd "Forever Engaged in Conflict".
