Sept. 29th, 2007. I've been living in England but will move back to the States soon. I hope to get more music up after I settle a bit. Looking forward to making simple recordings/demos that breathe and yes, contain a little character here and there. Hopefully encourages the listener to make the song their own.
Cheers
2010. Back in the States starting to work on a CD to release in the spring. It'll be an acoustic instrumental with a couple of vocal offerings. Cheers

Jim Gietzen

I was born into a family of 11 who played music. Mom and Dad couldn't afford to give us music lessons so we all learned by ear. Mom played the piano beautifully and Dad played the trumpet. Getzen, of course. Music and laughter filled our home. Dad played LP's on the stereo. Mostly Big Band and Chet Atkins. The sound Chet produced from his Gretsch captured my ear. Then came the Beatles and I jumped in the river. Not being able to afford a guitar, I could only dream. My first real guitar was a '71 Guild F30. That inspired me to play more and explore the guitar. I now have an acoustic that has too many songs in it. It's so hard to pick it up and not start a new song. Now it's hard to finish them! Influences: Beatles, McCartney,CCR, CSN&Y, Phil Keaggy, Steve Anderson. My style is Pop, Rock, Country, Fingerstyle Guitar. Maybe more. Don't know the definitions, I just play music.
