His critically-acclaimed album, One Last Chance, became the darling of the internet, garnering #1 positions for months at a time at virtually every website that charts music. His latest release, Nailed, is backed by some of LA’s finest musicians (including members of The Wallflowers and Warrant). Hunter has produced, in the words of one reviewer, "The Sexiest, Most Romantic CD I’ve Heard in Quite a While!" and caused another reviewer to ask, “What’s he doing, channeling Lennon?”

Originally from Boston, Hunter grew up in the great folk tradition of the northeastern U.S., playing venerable clubs like The Unicorn, Passim and The Bitter End; recording solo albums for Columbia Records; opening for touring pros like Bonnie Raitt and working with giants such as Leonard Bernstein (who dubbed Hunter “The Quintessential Troubadour”) and John Hammond (

If you’ve had the TV on over the past few years you’ve probably heard Hunter’s songs (ER, Scrubs, 7th Heaven, VH1, HBO, CMT, A&E, ABC Family, PBS). His critically-acclaimed album, One Last Chance, became the darling of the internet, garnering #1 positions for months at a time at virtually every website that charts music. His latest release, Nailed, offers his best work to date. Backed by some of LA’s finest musicians (including members of The Wallflowers and Warrant) Hunter has produced, in the words of one reviewer, "The Sexiest, Most Romantic CD I’ve Heard in Quite a While!" and caused another reviewer to ask, “What’s he doing, channeling Lennon?”

Hunter grew up in the great folk tradition of the northeastern US, playing venerable clubs like The Unicorn, The Jazz Workshop, Club Casablanca, Passim and The Bitter End; recording solo albums for Columbia Records; opening for touring pros like Bonnie Raitt and working with Leonard Bernstein (who dubbed Hunter “The Quintessential Troubadour”) and John Hammond (Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan), whose Columbia Records contract Hunter has the dubious distinction of turning down.

Currently, with the endorsement of President Clinton’s United Nations Office, Hunter and his wife Andrea are producing the Children of Disaster CD Series to benefit tsunami victims and to combat disease, poverty, war and drought in Africa. To date tracks have been donated by: Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Sting, Norah Jones,
Ray Charles, Bonnie Raitt, Avril Lavigne, Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morissette, Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, James Taylor, Shawn Colvin, Beth Neilsen Chapman, Ani DiFranco, Phantom Planet and The Blind Boys of Alabama.
