BIOGRAPHY

With a combined musical experience of 40 years between them in various fields of the industry, which included working with artists/companies as diverse as Belle and Sebastian, Mute Records, Stomp, Looper and The Scottish Opera; the natural progression was for David Campbell & Gordon McCracken to combine their individual skills and form a songwriting partnership.

Since it's inception, gordavi has been involved in numerous musical projects throughout the UK & abroad, and has received critical acclaim from some of the industries top players.

They have elicited praise from such people as Grammy Nominated producer Scott Mathews (Van Morrison, Barbra Streisand, Eric Clapton, Roy Orbison), songwriter/producer Trevon Potts (Christina Aguilera, Whitney Houston, Brandy, Anastacia), and writer Jason Blume (Britney Spears, Backsteet Boys, Collin Raye).

Currently four of their songs are signed to Many Lives Music Publishing in Toronto Canada, which is run by producer Paul Milner, (Sting, Rush, Keith Richards). They have also recently signed a five year synchronisation agreement with Tornado Watch Music/Privatewavs Publishing who are based in Colorado and run by Brett Walker, whose clients include NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, HBO and MTV.

Other people who have benefited from gordavi’s skills include UK management company Spotlight, who employed them to be wholly responsible for the musical supervision of newly signed acts. This involved working with the artists from their first rehearsal; writing material; playing & arranging instrumentation to suit the artists style; shaping the vocal content of the songs, and finally producing the recordings in the studio itself. Their artists included Craig Chalmers, 2003 Pop Idol finalist and member of the boy band No Reason.
