Being a singer/songwriter is a gift that has given me endless joy. To be able to express my feelings and share them with my guitar, harmonica and voice takes friendships and new relationships to a much more intimate level. It's a different and embracive way to tell stories and connect with the world.

FRITZIE'S BOHEMIAN GROOVE

I started writing the songs for this CD on March 15, 2002 at "Big Pink" in West Saugerties, New York in the same room that Bob Dylan wrote many of the famed songs for the 60's group "The Band". My good friends Don and Sue LaSala had bought the old ranch-style house a few years back and had begun the process of reviving it. Don set up a great working studio/cafe in the basement and encouraged his friends to bring their ideas, muses and inspiration. I lay awake one night with thoughts of past relationships and with the combination of those treasured thoughts and the energy and surroundings of Big Pink I wrote "Kiss the Lines on my Face" and the muse was out of the box. We did our first rough mix and decided it was time to do a project together.

After a few exciting months of on-line dating and hanging out with my wonderful musician friend's in Larchmont, New York I started writing tales of lovers, friends and passers-by. Inspired stories written in the middle of the night set the stage for the creation of my afternoon melodies. Long time friends and musicians gathered in support and together "Fritzie's Bohemian Groove" was born. The material was recorded in two live sessions at Studio MG in Larchmont, NY and The Make Believe Ballroom in West Shokan, NY.

A big thanks goes out to Don and Sue , Johnny Andriani, Glenway Fripp, Marty Stroh, Bryn Gromley, Tom Marks, Paul Stubblebine and my husband Michael Spivak who inspired "Rock My World", "Come and Go Baby" and many more. By the way, I met Mike, my soul mate and dearest friend on match.com during the process.

I am currently writing the material for my new cd, "Suzanna's Dream" Which is taking me back to my roots and leading me in a lyrical direction of songs with a protest message.

Needless to say, I am a product of the 60's and proud of it. I am also a product of having been born and raised in Vermont where music and great players ran rampent in the mountains. I played with Coco in "Fritz and Coco", "Wild Rose and the Bonnevilles", and with Paul Asbel who recorded with me when I was with "The Crispy Critters". Not to forget Jan Schultz, Tommy Washburn, Danny Coan, "Crow" Levine and Paul Miller. What great times we had.

My new home is Rhinebeck/Hyde Park, NY where I intend to perform, spend time with my friends and adult children, Gabrielle, Max and Scott, and share my voice.
