Nowicki was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio; he now lives in Colorado Springs, CO. Electric Bear Studios' Krista's Kingdom featured music from Fogdan's Blues, Boogie and Beyond. Prior to the series release, Nowicki picked up a Florida Picture Television Association award for best music composer.

Fogdan's newest CD Reflections Inside Out is due for release in late June. Nowicki's latest work is a collection of upbeat yet relaxing songs that will help you wind down at the end of the day, or put you in a great mood at any time. Mostly instrumental with a few vocal arrangements, this CD can help ease the commute either way!

End of Night is a light and hopeful song, focusing on the value of love and positive relationships. Firefly is more reflective and evokes images of the forest and mountains. Campfire opens up with a slightly faster tempo - a great song for the open road.

Fogdan is an evolving project - each new song leads to the next. During Nowicki's early career, he formed a partnership with the creative team from Electric Bear Studio. Many of the songs on his current CD were originally composed for TV pilots. Among Fogdan's credits are the following:

Fogdan

Biography

Fogdan (aka Dan Nowicki) was born, raised and has lived most of his life in Toledo, Ohio, USA. Dan was an only child, left on his own much of the time. The seeds of his interest in the blues were sown while riding the rails of the Northwest Ohio railway network in his spare time. Like a lot of American teens, he and some friends started a garage band. However, he got sidetracked from his music by the desire to race stock cars?a passion that ended quickly with a bad accident.

Dan?s life was somewhat normal after that with a regular job and an early marriage. Somewhere along the way, Dan was inspired by the well-known 70?s band Foghat; hence, the alias Fogdan. Through association with Foghat, Dan developed a deep respect for and friendship with the late Rod Price. Rod encouraged Dan to take up his music again with a focus on blues and slide guitar and offered to mentor him. Rod?s untimely death made that impossible.

Dan relocated to Colorado in 2004, where an unfortunate injury to one eye left him with a lot of time on his hands while he recuperated. Dan decided to turn this unexpected situation into an opportunity to revive his passion for music and further his musical aspirations. So, he picked up a couple of guitars, a piano, and a good mixing / editing program and he?s been writing music like crazy ever since?loving every minute and wondering why it took him so long to get back on track.

Dan?s on a roll now?you can expect to hear much more from this spunky guy in the future!
