Champagne - Bio

It's just a matter of time before the rap world falls in love with Kim Valentine a.k.a. Champagne and she knows it.
"My name says it all. Just take a sip of Champagne and you'll see how good it is," the 27-year-old Greenville, Mississippi native says.
Pagne, which she is more commonly known as, has been compared to some of the game's elite, but her mission is not to fit someone else's style, it is to get her own unique sound heard.
"People love my sound," she says, which explains why she's done so many collaborations over the years. "They hear me and want me on a track with them and I'm cool with that.
"And I've won all kinds of talent shows and everywhere I go people are like 'Just let me get your autograph because I know you're going to blow up.'"
One unmistakable part of her style stems from her southern roots. Although she was born in Milwaukee, Wis., she was raised in Mississippi, which is why she pours southern hot sauce over every track she rips.
Pagne believes songs like "Trouble," which is on the album she is currently working on and "You don't wanna," show off her diverse style, a quick tongue, and a skill set that will one day make her a household name.
"I like to mix it up," she says. "I can rap fast, slow or whatever. I can give you that party song or get into relationship stuff or even some freaky stuff if I'm feeling it.
"Right now I'm just waiting to get the right exposure and people will see that I can get with the best of them."
Pagne's natural flow separates her from other artists who have been "made" into rappers - this is just who she is. In her anthem "You don't wanna," Pagne blazes the track with lyrics that describe her journey through the rap game and her determination to not let anyone stop her from achieving her goal to be on top of the game.
For an artist that has been in the game for over 13 years, Pagne, isn't deflated by only having mostly regional success. In fact, she takes pride in the fan base she's built locally and among fellow artists and knows that when she gets her chance the game in Trouble, which is the title of her latest track. Pagne spits fire to rappers that have duplicated other people's style and challenges them step to her if they want Trouble. She sums it up by asking any would be challengers, "do you want Pagne to bring the pain? You don't wanna."
Pagne describes herself as a playful person, but when she puts pen to pad a different side of her is unleashed on the paper. When she's on the mic it's easy to hear that she speaks an undeniable truth that people can't get enough of.
Experience has taught Pagne a lot about herself and others, which she knows will help as she moves forward with her career.
"I'm a very motivated person," she says. "I have tried to work with people who were less motivated and it didn't work, so I'm always trying to find those people that are focus and trying to get it done.
"When I walk in the studio, I'm ready to go. There won't be a whole lot of messing up and changing stuff around because I try to go in as prepared as possible."
Pagne is confident that she's on the right path and is determined to stay there.
"I think I'm real close to getting on that next level," she says. "I'm working with some people who really work hard and we're just going to keep trying until we get there."
And there is no doubt she will know how to celebrate her success - her name is Champagne.

Taitano's Bio

With an effortless blend of a silky smooth voice with the spice only the street can provide, the music of Taitano has developed into a universal sound that will make its way into clubs, cars and most definitely bedrooms.

"I like to sing grown folks music," Taitano says. "I been doing this since I was born so it's just a part of me."

Although the current trend is to jump into hip-hop and look for the one-hit magic, Taitano is focused on making sure crooners keep their place in real R & B music. His first single Can't Let It Go showcases his soulful sound, highlights his wisdom in life and relationships through his writing, and his depth of ability.

"I'm all about making relatable soulful music that comes from the heart."

Don't mistake Taitano's sound for whiny, sappy-type music though. Although the beats are on the ballad side, his lyrics have a healthy dose of street that keeps his sound edgy and his message with a bit of a bite, which is understandable from the road he's traveled to get to this point.

"I was born in Guam into a military family. We moved to Oklahoma and that's where I fell in love with R & B music. Even though we traveled a lot, I connected with R & B and always will."

Taitano's track Game Over is a sizzling reminder that while romance is good, not everything goes as planned and sometimes tough choices have to be made. Game Over is one of the best examples of how a peanut butter-smooth dish can have a venomous bite.

"I write everything from what I know and what I go through," Taitano says. "I was in love with this girl. I thought she was the one. We were together for awhile, talking about a future, marriage, kids, the whole nine yards. Next thing I know, she leaves me for another guy out of nowhere. She still thought she could get me back, so I told her through this song that the game was over."

Taitano's song writing uses simple words, but expresses a depth of feeling that young and old can relate to because it is so honest.

"I'm not gonna use any difficult words or else there would be a lot of people who wouldn't know what I'm talking about. I may use simple words, but its not about what you say, its about how you say it."

Many artist spend years trying to find themselves in their music, Taitano doesn't have that problem -- he just needs an opportunity to get his skills showcased on a broader scale.

"I've always performed at local spots," he says. "And every time people love it. And that's really all I want. I know that if I get a chance to let people hear what I can do, they'll love me."

Taitano is currently working on a variety of projects and looking forward to big things this year.

"Hopefully, this year will be a big one. I have to pay my dues and continue to work. My focus is establishing a growing fan base, doing that that I feel certain that my CD will be successful. Possibly better opportunities may present itself. I know it will take some time, but that's my goal."
