Eliz Camacho

Contemporary R&B singer and actress Eliz Camacho delivers rich, soulful vocals with a keen pop ear like predecessors Keri Hilson, Ciara, Amerie, Kelly Rowland, and a young Beyoncé. Born Elizabeth Marie Camacho in Hinsdale, Illinois and based in North Carolina, she grew up singing in the church choir and later participated in high-school chorus. Later, she would sing in an ensemble for President Obama in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Forgoing an academic path in meteorology, she chose to pursue music instead of college, honing her voice in stage productions of West Side Story and Our Town. These experiences would lead to the big screen in films like High School Musical 2 and Changing the Game. She released her debut single, "Get Loose," in 2011, performing on various stages with the likes of Boyz II Men, Omarion, Yolanda Adams, Kelly Price, and Robin Thicke. "Unfinished Letter" arrived in 2016, the same year she competed on the 15th season of American Idol.
