In winter 1995, there was a drum concert in Vienna, which had never been heard before in this manner in Austria.

With much enthusiasm and creativity, several groups elaborated various contributions to the theme "EARTH-FIRE-WATER-AIR...THE FOUR ELEMENTS", they presented them on the stage, and in this way the concert achieved the expected success.

While the major part of the troupe went away for ever after the concert, some of them decided to continue this way; and this was the birth moment of "DRUMS ON EARTH".

Already from the beginning, the band was able to unite South American, Central American and Afro-Caribbean Rhythms. Their main characteristics were abrupt slap staccatoes, typical impulsive tremolos, but also meditative and ritual bass elements.

But the music style, which is so characteristic today, was born only one year afterwards in an Advent concert. The drums were very spontaneously united with mystic synthesizer sounds and the earthy sounds of a didgeridoo. And additionally a wonderful, impressive voice.

The spectators was very fascinated! And in this way, the further destiny of DRUMS ON EARTH was positively influenced...
